Going Global
Offering Hope & Encouragement
The time is now. The message is urgent. Our world is a sick, sin-stained place in desperate need of hope and encouragement. Our time is short and we must focus all available resources on local and world-wide mission outreach. It’s time for God’s people to step up, step out in faith, and to “Go Global.” The only question remaining is:
Will You Answer His Call?
What is Faith Promise?
Faith Promise giving is trusting God, by faith, to enable you to give extra money, above your tithe, to the mission program of the church.
When do I give to Faith Promise?
We have found that giving a set amount weekly or monthly seems to work best for most people.
How do I determine how much I should give? Pray and ask God how much He wants you to give. Divide that amount by your number of pay periods each year.
How long does this commitment last? Your commitment is for one year. It is not a pledge. No one will come asking you for this money. It is a commitment made between you and God.
Many of us complain about the taxes we pay and wonder what good ever comes of it. That need never be a problem when we give to Faith Promise because our missionaries are constantly reporting to us about what they are doing and the results God is giving them. Let me give you a few examples:
❖ Manna Worldwide Ministries is building and running orphanages in many countries, including Mexico, Mongolia, the Philippines, and the Ukraine. In addition, they host feeding stations and clinics where they also share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
❖In the Southern Hemisphere it is Summer and most of our missionaries are taking their young people to camp. Hundreds will be saved during these camps because of our consistent giving to support their ministries.
❖ In Japan, over the Christmas holidays, the Kyushu Bible College (George King, Missionary) had its annual Christmas Concert which was covered by the local TV news, giving them the opportunity to share Christ on Japanese TV.
❖Vapor Sports Ministries report souls continue to be saved and lives rescued in Kenya and Togo, Africa. They use sports and education to draw people, then introduce them to Jesus Christ and disciple them in His Word.
These are just a few of the reports back from the mission fields around the world where our Faith Promise money is sent. Souls are being saved and lives are being influenced for Christ. Children are being given a chance to have a safe and happy childhood in the name of Jesus Christ, because you care enough to sacrifice just a small part of your income to obey the Great Commission and “Go Global” in your vision.
G2 - Unleashing the Power of Us
We are stronger together and we are better equipped to carry and send the Gospel around the world. G2 is all about “Going or Giving.” Faith Promise Missions isn’t an option; it’s a Biblical mandate. We have the responsibility to share God’s love locally and in the regions beyond. This series begins on Sunday, February 14th.
Compassion is Emotion in Motion
“... and when He saw the multitude He was moved with compassion.” Nothing touches the heart of God like people - you and me. God loves us with an everlasting love. While we were yet sinners, God loved us and Christ died for us so that we might have life. Now it’s our turn to share His love. It’s one thing to see a hurting child and to possibly have a tear roll down our cheek, but true compassion is emotion in motion.
Going Global
Going Global is all about hearing and answering God’s call. As Pastor Joe wraps up this encouraging series, we will be talking about putting our love to the test ... about putting “feet to our prayers.”
